London, United Kingdom, March 2017 – Global Electric Vehicle Road Trip makes its way to Europe for the second time. Launching in London in April 2017, The ESCP Europe Electric Vehicle Road Trip (EVRT) will drive electric vehicle adoption and accelerate the transition towards a sustainable low-carbon future.
The ESCP Europe EVRT supports the EU’s legally binding limit values for the concentration of major air pollutants, to significantly reduce co2, emissions risk and the wider impact of climate change. High-level discussions on the barriers, enablers and opportunities in the clean transportation market will be a key theme amongst 200 delegates at two industry-leading conferences in London and Paris respectively.
The E-Mobility Conference topics to be addressed in London and Paris will include:
- The latest in electric vehicle technologies
- Air quality in major European cities
- Discussions on the European transport and mobility revolution
- EV infrastructure and innovation
- Developments and the future of the European EV industry.
Joseph Seal-Driver, London conference speaker and Director from EV rental company Drive Now commented: “As the largest fleet owner of pure Electric Vehicles available for rent in London, we're looking forward to discussing how public and private organisations can further encourage the move to electric vehicles.“
Nicki Shields, Host Presenter of the FIA Formula E Championship and Host of Global EVRT’s London Conference adds “As the host of Formula E for the last three years, I have seen how perception has changed all around the world and now EVs are being embraced. I'm proud to be part of such a great event. Clean transport is finally arriving in our cities all around the world and it feels great to be part of one of the biggest movements the auto industry has seen. Coming from a family of asthma suffers, in the future, I hope my family won't encounter the same problems with air quality in cities.”
Launching from London on April 25th the road trip kicks off the first E-Mobility Conference at the Building Centre. Alan Clarke, Public Policy Associate at Uber says, "We have recently completed a study of over 50 pure EVs in London in partnership with Energy Saving Trust and intend to publish a report into our findings. I'm looking forward to being able to share these insights at the E-Mobility Conference and give attendees an overview of our future ambitions for low emission transport."
Fellow speaker Christophe Arnaud, Managing Director, Bluepointlondon & Bolloré BlueSolutions UK added: “I am very pleased to attend and speak at the E-Mobility conferences in London and Paris as we share the same goal as Global EVRT: accelerate EV’s uptake globally.”
Since its inception in 2015, Global EVRT electric vehicles have travelled over 5,000kms across London, Europe and the United Arab Emirates. In the near future the event aims to cover even more terrain across the Middle East, India and China. ESCP Europe EVRT trip is a collaboration between Global EVRT and ESCP Europe Business School, an organisation and movement founded by one of the School’s alumni, Ben Pullen.
Commenting on the upcoming trip, Ben said, “This is a road trip with a difference - we provide information on electric vehicles in a fun and engaging way on the road and at conferences, empowering people to make the right choices about clean transportation, new energy and sustainable living. We aim to showcase new technology, engage communities through excitement and support and test existing infrastructures in the move to a cleaner future.”
He added, “We believe that if you give people the right information, they will make the right choices. The world needs to be made aware of the energy challenges we face and how the adoption of electric vehicle travel can help to meet these challenges - we simply want to further inspire the global community and encourage the accessibility and use of electric vehicles as an alternative mode of transport.”

About the ESCP Europe Electric Vehicle Road Trip (EVRT)
Global EVRT is committed to accelerating electric vehicle adoption and driving society’s transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future. They do this by helping people to make the right choices around energy and sustainability when given the need-to-know information through engaging and positive experiences.
These electric vehicle road trips achieve just that - creating fun, informative and unique experiences that will change beliefs about electric cars. Once on board, we will transform the way people perceive energy and how we use it, and create a new environment for electric vehicles in Europe, allowing people and governments to step seamlessly into a more sustainable future.
Global EVRT was born in Europe - a continent on the cusp of an electric vehicle boom. With the EVRT’s initiative, EVs will kick-start even sooner and set an exciting global precedent! Join them on their journey from 25th April to 10th May 2017 and be a part of a sustainable transport revolution. For more information visit europeevrt.com
